Sifted asked European investors which geothermal startups to watch in 2026. One important rule applied: no one could nominate a company from their own portfolio.

Telura made the list of seven. The nomination came from Thomas Lambaa Giehm at Underground Ventures, a Danish VC that invests exclusively in geothermal.

His reasoning centered on the technology and the team. Our Electric Impulse Drilling breaks hard crystalline rock without touching it, and it does so on standard rigs. That combination is what makes next-generation drilling scalable in an industry that has been under the radar for decades.
